            Abstract

Movement, physical exercise, is an essential feature in human evolution from ancient hominids to present homo sapiens species. Muscular system is the effector system through which the body reacts to permanent environmental changes. Making a movement requires  muscle contraction. Using different physical activities or just simple exercises in physical therapy requires thorough knowledge of all elements which contribute to the achievement of a movement. The main component in achieving movements is the muscular tissue and his unique property among the other tissues of the body, contraction.
